  • OUTREACH AFRICA

I know this update is long overdue* and I apologize

As I wrote out on my update e-mail. As I shared, I have spending my last three months in Oxford, New Zealand, which was I must admit was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been in. We went through the lecture phase there, 15 students and 7 staff, it was amazing the relationships that have grown from it. We went through the topics Forgiveness, the Cross, Worship, Relationship, Character and Nature of God, Biblical world view, Missions, Spiritual Warfare, Lordship, Father Heart, Releasing Destiny, Hearing God's Voice, Clear Conscience, etc... a very stretching and intense however loved it, How God was opening my mind to think in ways  never thought, and just opening and broadening the bubble in where I placed God before.

Now, me and my team of 7 have gone out of the world of new zealand to face the world God is sending us to AFRICA! As of now we are in Johanesburg, South Africa. WE have been here for the last week, after a gruesome travel of 30 hours. We are working at a orphanage here called Refiliwe. It has been awesome, lots of phsycial labor, so the body gets sore, but it feels soo good to look back on what you have done. And I am learning to make bricks! yes literally out of scratch! Hard work i tell ya! but soo cool! :) The kids here are adorable, I am acutally right now in the process of uploading pictures (takes forever!) but when they are done i will post some up.

It has been a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts, experiences and just everything! but our GOD is amazing and really, I would never take this back for anything in the world. Just how much molding and breaking God is doing in my life. its amazing. How soo many times we think we got it all together and than we realize WOW who were we kidding. I am totally blessed with such wonderful people around me, my team, Sarah, Matt, Heidi, Izzy, Julie anna, Ali and of course my DADDY upabove!

I will be updating as much as I can, with the sparcity of internet here it is hard at times but I will be updating atleast once in each country!

Really miss everyone back home! All in Washington, Arizona and Oxford New Zealand! I love you guys! please do not hesitate to e-mail me annahyun@gmail.com to be added to my updates list :) love you all and remember that whereever we are we can be a sweet taste of Jesus for those around us!

Also check our Africa Teams website in which you should click auto update so automatically you will be updated with our pictures and journal entries of where we are at and what we are doing! :) http://www.traveljournals.net/travelers/teamafrica/

  • OXFORD NEW ZEALAND

wow so much has happened here soo far. sorry its been soo long before i updated. I will try and update everyweek from now on. :) so here is the last two weeks in a bulletin style :)

    •  19 people living in one house.
    • sleep on top bunk n share room with 3 other girls
    • new zealanders are called Kiwis
    • they have really good icecream, esepcially hokey pokey icecream
    • there are more sheep than people here. (got chased by one! hahaha)
    • we are a day faster. so right now I am writing this at 11:40pm thursday night.
    • the weather here changes like 5 times in a day
    • it is hitting fall/winter here now. (very cold when cold!)
    • we have many different accents here in this group! haha its catching on!
    • I am going all over AFRICA for my outreach
    • The nature here is more beautiful than anywhere I can imagine!
    • I have found my kiwi twin here! Angelina! (love her)
    • the shops here close really early! like at 5pm!!!!! (oxford small town in NZ)
    • they drive on the oppisite side of the road!
    • their driver sits on the RIGHT SIDE of the car!
    • Hearing God clearer/more than ever.
    • missing everyone back in the States :/

    - "Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt. In that day, "declares the Lord, "You will call me 'my husband,' You will no longer call me my master." Hosea 2:14-16

This one explains my life here thus far. I Have been saying How God has been taking my hands grasp off of things. Taking me away from Wa, to Az and now here even in New Zealand, God has been telling me to not to jump into leaderships roles and chill back for awhile. It has been fustrating, however cause that is not who I am. However I realize that God is not telling me to chuck everything away, but for now He wants to be my everything and only thing. No more does He want to be a master to me but my husband. And Man, thats what I want to become with Him, I want to fall soo madly and deeply in love with Him. I want him to become my husband my one and only love. :)

    - "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Ah, Sovereign Lord, " I said, " I do not know how to spak, I am only a child. But the Lord said to me, " Do not say, " I am only a child. You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with  you and will rescue you declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, Now I have put my words in your mouth. See today I appoint you over nation snad kingdons to uproot and tear down to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."  Jeremiah 1: 5-10

Wow, I do not know what to say about this one. Thus far I have been given now twice by two diferent people the words that God has called me out to missions. Ok ok, lets calm down cause I realize as i pray also, that the missions calling that God has put on my life is/can be different than what the world says. God I know now and as i pray that His mission for me is a unique and specific one. I know that since I was born, God has spared my life many different times (gull bladder, car accident, etc..) and I know that His plan out there for me is big and I want to do His will. Whether it be by being His voice, or Healing the Heart or Being His praise. I am slowly starting to figure this out. hmMm...interesting months to come.
